It Was Not A Silent Night...

It won't be a Silent Night in Houston, Texas tonight with a strong winter storm headed this way...And it wasn't a Silent Night all those centuries ago...

While many houses will have sleeping children awaiting their presents in the morning, many houses will be filled with tears for those that are gone. Some houses will be filled with the moaning of the sick and hungry. Some will be filled with violence and shouts of anger.

No matter what level of sound is in your house tonight, I hope that you can find peace and quiet in your heart. Behold, The Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world comes. He knows our joy, and He knows our sorrows. He simply offers His yoke to us:  “Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and YOU WILL FIND REST FOR YOUR SOULS. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”

The joyous.

The anguished.

The hungry.

Those in power, and those oppressed.

For all of us, He offers rest for our souls, if we will but learn from Him.

Hosanna in Excelsis!
